In most clubs, the quality of coaching is a feeling. Somebody watched a practice once and came away with an impression.
The paper form stays in the dressing room, and the spreadsheet gets filled in twice a season, if that. Ask whether the U12s and the U14s practise the same things, or how much of an ice slot is spent standing still, and the answer is a guess.
SportPro makes observing quick enough that it gets done: one tap per observation, while the practice is on. The questions are the same every time, so one evening can be compared with another across age groups, coaches and seasons.
A rink needs no reception. Tracking is saved on the phone and sent to the server when the connection returns.
Every button is at least 44 pixels, and an observation is one tap. It works with a glove on.
A practice's real length, its active time and its idle time come from the clock, not from memory.
Observations are collected at the rink. Conclusions are drawn from them later, in the same tool.
Practice
A practice is made of blocks and stations. Add a station, pick its type and answer the club's questions by tapping. A practice template gives you the whole structure in one choice.
Progress
Pick a group and a period to see which way the metrics are moving. A coach sees their own monitoring, an administrator the whole club. Whether a rise is good or bad is decided by the goal the club set itself.
Analytics
Compare an age group with last season, practices with matches, or one opponent with the rest. The largest differences come first, and beside every figure is how many monitorings it rests on.
Calendar
The head of coaching marks in the calendar who monitors which practice, and with which questions. At the rink the coach presses Start monitoring and the view opens already filled in, with or without a signal.
Match
Choose before the game what to track. The panel shows at least four metrics at once without scrolling, and every observation is one tap, for your own team or the opponent. A mistaken tap can be undone, and metrics can be swapped during the game.
Reports
A report is filed in the archive as figures and as a PDF. If a question is changed later, the old report still shows what it showed at the board meeting. Observations can also be exported as CSV.
Metrics
A new club starts with a ready question bank: quality questions for practices and 42 match metrics. An administrator can add a metric, change a scale or retire a question themselves. When a question changes it becomes a new version, and last season's figures still mean what they meant when they were recorded.
Who gets in, and what happens to the data.
The price is per club, not per user or per team. The tracking itself is the same on both: practices, matches, the clock and working with no signal.
